Marcos
Hi guys, I have a problem to understand one concept. Iím studding for Oracle 9i Certification.

The point is that I did:

CREATE SEQUENCE DEPT_ID_SEQ
INCREMENT BY 10
START WITH 200
MAXVALUE 1000
NOCYCLE
NOCACHE;

And after that, to see the Sequence and his properties:

SELECT sequence_name, min_value, max_value,increment_by, last_number
FROM user_sequences

Now I donít understood why Max_Value is equal to 9990 if I said 1000 and why last_number is equal to 280 if it has to begin in 200 plus 10 from ďIncrement ByĒ it have to be 210.

Query Result (not as I am hoping):

SEQUENCE_NAM = DEPARTMENTS_SEQ
MIN_VALUE = 1
MAX_VALUE = 9990
INCREMENT_BY = 10
LAST_NUMBER = 280

Thanks a Lot !!!
