If you are writing your own, I would use HTML-DB with the Oracle*text option . . . .

Well, I would start by downloading 10g, enterprise edition, and buy a license, as you will need the advanced features:

Then use Oracle*Text, if you can afford the licenseing costs.

Else, you will have real issues with LIKE searches inside the table rows. . . .



I would use HTML-DB myself, easy concurrency management:
