Full Version: IO error for oracle database file

Hi

After connecting to RMAN catalog database when I say "resync catalog", throwing the below error.


RMAN-00571: ===========================================================

RMAN-03002: failure of configure command at 12/19/2011 10:52:27
RMAN-03014: implicit resync of recovery catalog failed
RMAN-03009: failure of full resync command on default channel at 12/19/2011 10:52:27
ORA-01115: IO error reading block from file 5 (block # 497)
ORA-01110: data file 5: '/u08/oradata/RMAN/data/users01.dbf'
ORA-27091: skgfqio: unable to queue I/O
ORA-27072: skgfdisp: I/O error


NOTE: Able to access the database and bounce the database also nothing is there in alert log

any ideas on how to resolve this pls and what the exact problem is ?

OS: AIX

The first error is the one that counts the most:

RMAN-03002: failure of configure command

ORA-27091: unable to queue I/O

Cause: read/write/readv/writev system call returned error, additional information indicates starting block number of I/O

Action: check errno

ORA-27072: File I/O error

Cause: read/write/readv/writev system call returned error, additional information indicates starting block number of I/O

Action: check errno

Cause: Reporting file name for details of another error

Action: See associated error message
