Hi does anyone know how to set the interval time in milliseconds in this case
What i've done below does not seem to work.
Basically i want to enqueue a job every millisecond

BEGIN
DBMS_JOB.isubmit (
job => 1,
what => 'BEGIN job_chain_aq.task_1; END;',
next_date => SYSDATE,
interval => 'SYSDATE + INTERVAL ''0 00:00:00:001'' DAY TO SECOND(3)');

Thanks
SteveC
And the error message you get is....? Guessing format mask on the interval is off. I'd be surprised that this would even work in the first place, with respect to that degree of accuracy, mainly because of the wait time for the current job to finish.

Hi Derek, and welcome to the forum,

That close an interval may not be possible, as the docs note that polling is done only every 5,000 milliseconds:

http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B28359_...20/mg_start.htm

polling interval used by Messaging Gateway is 5000 milliseconds (5 seconds)

That's a LOT of jobs! What are you trying to do?
