Can anyone please tell me the reason Why Oracle will generate its own tables and packages in to the database.

those tables were prefixed with "MD_" and Packages were wrapped... No idea why it has generated even i didnt find any answer when i ggogled it...

onething i can say here is, a day before this, we made

"Alter table MEDIA enable Row Movement;"

and the day night when these tables were generated, we disabled it.

Will this can cause ORACLE to generate its own tables and Packages...?

Please anyone help me to find out wat might be the reason for this....

oracle didnt create its own, a dba installed the mdsys option in the database

when someone runs the scripts which creates it

again, someone did this intentionally, not the database

First., Oracle needs tables to hold metadata.

Sorry if you were offended, but your question can indeed be answered with a fast Google search of the Oracle docs.

Oracle spacial and InterMedia NEVER installs by itself!!

HOWEVER, THE "INSTALL ORACLE SPATIAL" option is checked in the installer.

I'll bet that is how it got there, you did not un-check the box:

Thank you for a solution, but question is the whole database is newly installed n setup before 4 or 5 months, and all of a sudden why it has generated.. these tables now... means" Just want to know for any specific reason or if we run any queries related to ROW MOVEMENT for table will cause this to happen ? ".

For the last time, SOMEONE RAN THE SCRIPTS TO CREATE IT, A REAL PERSON, SOMEONE WHO HAS ACCESS TO THE DATABASE DID IT.

Tables around 30 prefixed as"MD_" are added into database and packages were wrapped (MD_META, MIGRATION, MIGRATION_TRANSFORMER).

i think oracle migration workbench & oracle sql developer uses these objects to hold metadata while migrating thirdparty object in oracle.
