What differences between shared server tick and profile idle_time?
idle_time is inactive time on the server in minutes.
shared server tick is a unit of time in terms of which the connection pool timeout can be specified.
Don't use shared server unless you must, it's sucky.

Hi ,
The idle_time specify the permitted periods of continuous inactive time during a session, expressed in minutes. Long-running queries and other operations are not subject to this limit.
The same way when we don't do anything and a screen saver starts after specified idle time.
So when a user connects but don't run a query the counting of idle_time starts.
