Db hang-up whlie create table with sub-query. Options

Hi,

We have a Oracle 9.2.0 db server on AIX 5.2.

User nbill has been assinged dba role.

while i am login with nbill user, i can create table and also select data from another schema like:
select *from ncash.country_code; //country_code is a view in ncash schema

but if i try to create a table like:
create table tab-name as
select*from ncash.country_code;
db hangs-up for unlimited time.

I will appreciate if anyone can help me.

May be you are right, but this query never returned any result after waiting a long time, while underlying table has only 377 records.

Further more, this view selects rows from a database on remote site, connected on E3 lines. I monitored network it looks fine.

Can you please suggest some ways to find where the problem is ???
