Hi
TOAD can use all of the TNSNAMEs files that are on your machine. It will look for whatever Oracle Homes you have and then find the corresponding TNSNAMES.ORA. If TOAD detects multiple Oracle Homes each with its own TNSNAMES file then you will see a drop-down of available files to use.

They are usually located in the NETWRORK/ADMIN folder of the Oracle Home.

Best wishes
Michael

If you want to know where does it store the connection list, you can search for CONNECTIONS.INI in the folder where TOAD is installed.

Hi,
Toad usually choose the default TNSNAMES.ORA file .Basically you can set your default home from Start/Programs/Oracle Installation Products/Home selector.
You can also manually select you Home in the TOAD connection dialog screen itself.
Also there is a option like TNS Editor to create and edit your TNS entries from Toad.you can select your TNS entries path here also.

Hi
The CONNECTIONS.INI is typically found here:

C:\Program Files\Quest Software\TOAD\User Files
