Hi Roky,

This is a "noise error" it will not effect your production system operations.

>> Please check VKTM trace file for more details."

So what does this trace file say?

Please post it!

First check bug 9843304, which has a fix in 11.2.0.2.

hi burleson ,

delighted to see your response , Thanks for that First

1. http://www.dba-oracle.com/t_time_drift_detected.htm -- Suggests to 11.2.0.2 , but ours is on 11.2.0.3

2. http://www.vmware.com/files/pdf/Timekeepin...ualMachines.pdf - am reading it still ..and is a lengthy one ... Will take some time , to get my point here

info: our database is on : SunOS s96amg07 5.10 Generic_144488-08 sun4u sparc SUNW,SPARC-Enterprise
which suggests we are VMWARE and application is SAP , I did search SAPNOTEs , for finding , what SAP has to tell on ,
VKTM entries in the alert<SID>.log , and yet to get the right sapnote.

Regards and Thanks

Hi ,

we are facing this same issue on alert log file. Application is not pointed to database for a seconds or fraction of seconds when VTKM detected drift and we got the warning in alert log file at same time. So please tell me how to rectify this warning. This warning does not effect on Production database but at same time applications are not pointed .

I am waiting for reply.
