It is possible to offload the running of an RMAN backup validation from my production server to some other location?

For instance if I run an RMAN and move the backup files to a secondary server...can I then run a validate on that secondary server so as to not impact the performance of the main production server?

thanks for your help.

Hi, and welcome to the forum!

Yes! Many shops use a dedicated server just for RMAN.

See here for details:

Sure, as long as you do a restore to that server . . .

Hope this helps. . .
