Hey all. Just a general question here.

Is anybody using Oracle Key Vault, and is it worthwhile?

Our environment is roughly 50 small-medium sizes databases (including Dev, Test, and Prod). We don't use RAC or Golden Gate. We have a few Data Guard instances. We have one set (3 environments) of OBIEE. No other Oracle App servers. We have 2 DBA's.

I haven't really seen anything compelling to justify the purchase and upkeep of key vault. It seems like overkill and very little "bang for the buck" so to speak. Our ISO has asked me to look into it though. Am I missing something here?

Thanks in advance.

I agree, I would not use the key vault:
