Hi,

I have OGG on a linux box, (11.2) but when I attempt to start the datapump process it continoulsy will fail on the source. The target/remote processss are all running and the manager process on the source is running fine.

I have deleted the process and re-created and still no joy

CODE
GGSCI 11> info all

Program     Status      Group       Lag at Chkpt  Time Since Chkpt

MANAGER     RUNNING
EXTRACT     ABENDED     DATAPUMP    00:00:00      95:04:09
EXTRACT     RUNNING     EXTRACT     00:00:00      00:00:07

this is the error I receieve in the ggserr.log file

CODE
017-05-15 06:12:12  INFO    OGG-00993  Oracle GoldenGate Capture for Oracle, datapump.prm:  EXTRACT DATAPUMP started.

This is my datapump.prm file

CODE
more datapump.prm

RMTHOST <IP Address>, MGRPORT 7809
RMTTRAIL /mnt/DBStorage/u01/app/oracle/product/ogg_src/trailfiles/x0

However I can see the file which the log is complaining about

CODE
$ ls -tlr /mnt/DBStorage/u01/app/oracle/product/ogg_src/extract*
-rwxr-x--- 1 oracle oinstall 90017817 Dec 12  2015 /mnt/DBStorage/u01/app/oracle/product/ogg_src/extract

CODE
$ more extract

******** extract: Not a text file ********

This is not my extract.prm file - so what is this file?

CODE

Questions:

How do I get my datapump extract process to be running or what else can I investigate / trouble-shoot

If anyone can provide assistance, that will be appreciated

Hi Spoon,

Sorry for the delay in responding!

>> How do I get my datapump extract process to be running or what else can I investigate / trouble-shoot

I'm not a GG guru, but it looks like a TNS issue, especially about the spawing a process.

This may help:

http://www.dba-oracle.com/t_goldengate_manager_process.htm

Good Luck!

GGSCI () 7> info mgr

Manager is running (IP port server.7809, Process ID 2583).

GGSCI () 8> info datapump

Also I reviewed the /var/messages file when I attempt to start Datapump and noticed an SSL error (see below)

Hi Spoon,

I see nothing wrong in your syntax (but I'm not a GG guru).

This may be a bug or known issue.

I would open a service request on MOSC:

http://support.oracle.com

Let us know what you discover!
