Hi there..
I want to learn Oracle Database from the very beginning level and also want to be a Certified.
But the problem is course fee is too damn high and pc configuration is old (dual core, 2gb ddr2 ram).
As there are many expart in this group, it will be a great pleasure if I get your wise suggestions.
Looking for your recommendations.
Thanks.

Hi, and welcome to the forum!

First thing, you need at least a four year degree in computer science or information systems!

Oracle DBA is not a trade, it's a profession, just
Like an engineer or architect.

I learned DBA in graduate school, no need for a PC.

Please read this carefully:

http://www.dba-oracle.com/t_how_to_become_an_oracle_dba.htm

Good luck!

Hi,

Junior DBA jobs are abundant, look at hospitals, charities and universities.

Did you graduate from a credible US university?

There are hundreds of Oracle DBA jobs on Dice:

Lastly, it is a waste of time to try to teach yourself Oracle!

There is no substitute for job experience.

A good employer will pay for your training!

Good luck!
