Hi Dba's

I have created another os user on my oracle server and assigned oinstall greoup to this.
I am unable to login through sqlplus "/as sysdba", but all binary owner is oracle(super DBA) user and my new user are in same group i.e oinstall
please help me.

Hi Basant and welcome to the forum!

Try adding a user named oracle in /etc/users in the dba group.

If using external OS user authentication (ops$ or remote_os_authent) you need to verify that the user ID is valid. You can tell if you are using external authentication because you connect without providing a user/password combination, and only provide a forward slash to the connect string, (e.g. connect / as sysdba;).
