Hello Team,

much needed help required.While installation of Oracle 12c edition 2 on Redhat linux, everthing was going fine but suddenly it failed with the below error. Attached is the screenshot

Kindly suggest, why it is showing us the port error and while installation no where it had asked for the port number.

Hi,

Looks like you did not follow all of the steps in the pre-install guide!

Check your /etc/hosts file:

https://dba.stackexchange.com/questions/167...tabase-configur

Let us know if this fixes your issue!


Could you please check which process is currently occupied with the port

example

fuser -v -n tcp 80
